Cyrus will be back for more "Punk'd" fun later this season, when she hosts her own episode. She'll punk beau Liam Hemsworth and pal Khloé Kardashian. Demi Lovato, the Wanted and more will also get "Punk'd" later this season.

First in Good Health Self-Assessments - 90 percent of U.S. adults aged 15 and older describe themselves as being in good health versus an OECD average of 69.1 percent.

First in Obesity - More than one-third of American adults are obese, up from 15 percent in 1980.

Second in Prevalence of Diabetes - 10.3 percent of the U.S. population suffers from diabetes, surpassed only by Mexico's 10.8 percent. The OECD average is 6.5 percent.

Third out of nine in Waiting Time for Specialists - Out of nine countries from Europe, North America and the Antipodes, the United States has the third-shortest waiting time for specialist appointments at an average of 20 weeks; Germany and Switzerland had shorter waiting periods.

Natalie Novosel scored 16 points, Kalia Turner scored 14 points, Kayla McBride added 10 points and Devereaux Peters had 10 rebounds for the top-seeded Irish (33-3).

They shot 52.5 percent, never trailed and led by 45 in advancing to face second-seeded Maryland (31-4) on Tuesday night with a spot in the Final Four on the line.

"They're a strong, strong rebounding team," coach Muffet McGraw said of the Terrapins. "They have great size. We're a team that plays four guards. We don't match up well. They're much more physical and so much bigger inside than we are."

CeCe Dixon had 13 points and Doris Ortega added 11 for the fifth-seeded Bonnies (31-4), who shot a season-low 19 percent, allowed a season-high point total and finished with a season-worst 21 turnovers. They missed 11 of 12 attempts from 3-point range and had just two assists on their nine field goals.

Leading scorer Jessica Jenkins was scoreless ? she entered averaging 14 points ? and missed all six of her shots with Mallory leading the defensive effort that blanketed her.

"They're really physical with you on cuts," Jenkins said. "They don't even let you set them up or anything. ... They're just really physical and they're really, really good at blowing up screens and running you off the 3-point line."

The best season in school history ? and the Bonnies' first NCAA tournament berth ? ended in abrupt, decisive fashion after they couldn't recover from a disastrous start in which they went scoreless for more than 10 minutes.

"Forty minutes isn't going to define our season," coach Joe Crowley said. "It didn't earlier in the year. It doesn't right now."

The Irish have won all three games in this tournament by double figures. This one equaled the 91-47 beating Louisiana Tech gave Purdue in the 1990 Midwest semifinals, and it was another convincing step toward the national championship that slipped away a year ago.

Calling it unfinished business, they've been fueled by their loss in the 2011 title game to Texas A&M. They would've had another crack at those Aggies in the regional final, had the Terrapins not rallied to beat them 81-74 in the first semifinal.

"This is a really competitive group," McGraw said. "When you go down through the team, you kind of realize that they're all the type of player that just hates to lose. So when we lost the last game last year, I think the whole summer workout for them was about getting back, and kind of had that motivation, that extra motivation, to try to get back to that."

Notre Dame made it to a regional final for the fourth time ? they've advanced to the Final Four in each of the previous three ? and did it by bringing a quick end to St. Bonaventure's dream season.

The Bonnies simply couldn't have started much worse: After Ortega's layup 30 seconds in, they didn't score again until Ortega's three-point play pulled them within 16-5 with 9:32 left in the half. At its nadir, St. Bonaventure missed 20 of its first 23 shots and didn't get into double figures until the final minute of the half when Jennie Ashton's free throw with 52.2 seconds left made it 33-10.

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) ? Rick Santorum is looking to Louisiana for a much-needed rebound as Republican voters go to the polls Saturday in the state's GOP primary.

The former Pennsylvania senator is expected to do well in the contest, just a handful of days after a decisive loss to front-runner Mitt Romney in Illinois on Tuesday.

A win over the former Massachusetts governor would serve as a reminder that Romney still struggles among the GOP's conservative faithful, especially in the South. Santorum beat Romney in primaries in Alabama and Mississippi earlier this month.

But Romney is outpacing Santorum in the race for critical delegates to the Republican National Convention, and he's been beating Santorum in big, industrial Midwestern states.

"I need your vote, and I want the vote of the people of Louisiana so we can consolidate our lead," Romney said Friday while campaigning in Shreveport. He told supporters his campaign wants to focus on "raising the money and building the team to defeat someone that needs to be out of office in 2012 and that's Barack Obama."

Republicans were voting as President Barack Obama began a trip overseas and the country was focused on the killing of unarmed Florida teenager Trayvon Martin. Obama made a personal appeal to Martin's family on Friday, and the GOP candidates all said an investigation into his death was an appropriate course to take.

Romney and Santorum were both campaigning in this northern Louisiana city on Friday, where a large oil and gas industry make energy a top issue in the primary. Both men have been highlighting that on the trail. Also in Louisiana was former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who has fallen back in polls and has lost other Southern primaries to Santorum.

Santorum spent much of Friday on the defensive, explaining comments he made earlier in the week and insisting he would support the eventual GOP nominee. Still, Santorum says there are similarities between front-runner Romney and Obama that make them indistinguishable on some issues. He caused an intraparty uproar earlier in the week after suggesting he'd prefer a second term for Obama over a Romney presidency.

"Over my dead body would I vote for Barack Obama," Santorum said as he walked back his original comments less than 24 hours before Louisiana polls were set to open.

The situation underscored Santorum's challenges, particularly because he faces more difficult territory in the race ahead. He faces increasingly difficult delegate math as Romney continues to win delegates even in states where the popular vote is close.

There are 20 delegates at stake in Louisiana's primary. They are awarded proportionally to the candidates who receive more than 25 percent of the vote. So a close race would yield just a handful for any of the men in the contest.

Most states divide all the available delegates among the candidates who meet the minimum threshold. Louisiana's system is strictly proportional, with any leftover delegates designated as uncommitted, meaning they will be fought for at the state convention.

Romney has 563 delegates of the 1,144 necessary to win at the convention, according to an Associated Press tally. Santorum has 263, while Gingrich trails with 135. Texas Rep. Ron Paul has 50.

Save money (on energy costs) with $845,000 Porsche 918 plug-in hybrid

Imagine a Chevrolet Volt built to Porsche specs: faster, sleeker, and more expensive. Now the dream is real: The Porsche 918 Spyder plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) will come to market in the fall of 2013 with a price of $845,000. That?s for a supercar that reaches 60 mph in three seconds; at three seconds, the Volt is still coming up on 30 mph. The 0.1% of the world population that can afford a Porsche 918 is underwriting R&D that will make PHEVs practical over the next decade. Most people know Porsche for race cars, sports cars, and sunglasses. Porsche also is a consultancy that provides engineering and design services to the auto industry. A prototype car was announced at the 2010 Geneva auto show. This month Porsche showed off three development mules at the Nardo, Italy test track and provided technical details and the tentative pricing.

The Porsche 918 specs are jaw-dropping. The gasoline engine is a 570 hp V8 (compared to the Volt?s 80 hp three-cylinder). There are two electric motors: a 90 kW motor connected to the rear engine and transmission, and a second 80 kW motor on the front wheels that makes this an all-wheel drive car. (Lexus does the same thing in reverse with some front-engine, front-drive hybrids, adding a rear electric motor.) With all three powerplants chugging in unison, Porsche claims up to 770 hp combined output and 553 pound-feet of torque. Not familiar with torque, the vehicle?s get up and go power? In everyday terms, the Porsche 918 has enough torque to pull down a Muammar Gaddafi statue and then scoot out of town before the palace guards react. The two electric motors will act as turbochargers and it?s a good match since electric motors produce the most torque at low rpm, the opposite of where most gasoline engines produce torque.

Porsche says the 918 will run for about 16 miles on electric power alone. That?s about half the endurance of a Chevrolet Volt. The more battery cells you add to extend range, the more weight you add. For driving around town or to check in with your wealth management team, 16 miles is more than enough, and for long trips, the Volt?s 30-40 real-world electric miles isn?t enough, and both will keep on going long after an electric-only Nissan Leaf or Tesla Roadster use up their 75-100 miles of battery power. But the Porsche?s competition is more the world?s supercars such as the $231,000 McLaren MP4-12C.

Porsche says the combined gas-electric fuel economy is on the order of 77 mpg in European-spec testing. The cost to drive a mile on electric power can be as little as half what it costs for gasoline power. The combined rating depends on the fraction of miles allocated to electric power for the typical user. To counter some misconceptions about the Volt, possibly inspired by a Fox News slam dunk, Chevrolet started running TV ads noting the Volt also has a gasoline engine (a fact missed by the Fox News lawyer/ex-Victoria?s Secret model panelist) and that the typical owner drives 900 miles per gasoline fill-up, meaning about two-thirds of the driving is local, on battery power.

Porsche also makes a race car version of the 918. One variant uses a kinetic energy recover system (KERS) flywheel to capture and then discharge power. The Porsche 918 KERS racer can deliver up to 10 seconds of boosted power.

Porsche was the company that unleashed a nearly-three-ton SUV in the form of the Porsche Cayenne. With the Porsche 918 PHEV, every body panel is carbon fiber. It will weigh about 3,700 pounds (1,700kg). Compare that to the Fisker Karma PHEV at 5,300 pounds (2,400kg).

Porsche says it will build 918 of the Porsche 918 PHEVs. They?ll sell for $845,000 or the equivalent in euros, and to secure a place in the line, they?d like a $200,000 deposit. Even the affluent have to watch their pennies at times, so don?t forget the $7,500 tax credit available to US buyers of alternative energy vehicles.

Coming off a final round at Innisbrook in which he made a 13 on one hole, Wi hit an 8-iron over the water to 6 feet for birdie on the 18th for a 6-under 66, giving him a share of the lead with Jason Dufner on Thursday in the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

LONDON -- Around 11,000 Nigerian villagers who say their livelihoods were ruined in oil spills launched a legal battle?Friday to seek compensation from Shell.

The case marks the first time any oil firm has?faced claims in the U.K. from a community?in?the developing world?for environmental damage caused by oil extraction operations, the villagers'?lawyers said.

Shell, the largest international firm operating in Nigeria, admitted liability for two?oil spills in August 2011. However, the two sides dispute the amount of oil spilled and?the?extent of the damage?caused, one of the villagers' London-based?lawyers told msnbc.com.

At the crux of the disagreement is whether the spills that devastated the area were due to so-called operational failures on the part of Shell, or if they were the result of sabotage, illegal refining and theft.

Farmers, fishermen
Shell Petroleum Development Company?(Nigeria) has admitted responsibility for two spills amounting to around 4,000 barrels.?

However, experts representing people in the Bodo community, a network of 35 villages whose inhabitants were mainly subsistence fishermen and farmers, maintain that amount is closer to 600,000 barrels, one of the villagers' lawyers told msnbc.com.

100 miles of oil: Spill likely Nigeria's worst in decade

"We have urged them to have their expert work with our expert," said Martyn Day of law firm Leigh Day & Co. "But (Shell has) totally refused."

Day said that negotiations broke down last week.

'No need for the legal activity'
Shell spokesman Jonathan French told msnbc.com that the firm cannot discuss details of the legal process, but said the company was dismayed that the case was going to court.

"There really has been no need for the legal activity which has delayed the the payout and cleanup," he said. "We accepted responsibility at the earliest point we could ... there was no need for this firm of London solicitors to take action."

"Nobody is saying is that there isn?t a problem with oil spills in the Niger Delta," French added. "The point is that there is this formula enshrined in Nigerian law that spells out level of compensation."

Instead of resorting to court, the villagers should have followed the process already in place in Nigeria, French said, adding that the involvement of law firms such as Leigh Day "can serve to delay compensation."

$1 billion cleanup tab in Nigeria oil mess, UN says

Shell paid out $4 million in compensation to victims of operational oil spills in 2009, and $1.7 million in 2010, French said.

Shell has been criticized for its behavior in Nigeria before.

In Aug. 2011, the United Nations released a report saying the company and the Nigerian government had contributed to 50 years of pollution in the Niger Delta that could need the world's largest ever oil cleanup. The work would take up to 30 years and require an initial tab estimated at $1 billion, the report said.

On February 17, Amnesty International issued a report saying that:

"Shell's failures persist despite significant evidence based calls on the company to make meaningful changes in the way it operates in the Niger Delta. In 2011 the evidence confronting Shell was confirmed in a ground-breaking study by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) that looked at the impact of oil pollution in the Ogoniland region of the Niger Delta. The UNEP report confirmed that serious environmental damage had occurred in Ogoniland, one area of the Niger Delta, over many years. It found systemic failures in Shell?s approach to cleaning up pollution and rehabilitating land, which have exposed tens of thousands of people to a sustained assault on their economic, social and cultural rights."

Edit: drink lots of water steadily troughout the day. Never drink more than1 pint per hour, it?s dangerous.

OVERNIGHT ENERGY: Republicans rain on Obama?s Keystone parade

State of play: Republicans worked Thursday to undercut President Obama?s attempt to regain control of the narrative over the Keystone XL oil pipeline.

In a barrage of statements, television interviews and news conferences, Republicans dismissed Obama?s energy tour as a public relations stunt.

?Today he?s out in Oklahoma trying to take credit for a part of the pipeline that doesn?t even require his approval,? House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) told reporters.??Now this is what I?m calling the Obama energy gap.?

Obama, during a speech in Cushing, Okla., promised to expedite a federal review of the southern leg of the Keystone pipeline.

But Republicans cast the move as a smokescreen to distract from the president?s January decision to reject a key permit that would have allowed developer TransCanada to build a section of pipeline across the U.S.-Canada border.

The GOP also argued that the president?s call to expedite the review will do little to speed up construction of the pipeline segment. TransCanada has said it plans to begin construction on the southern part of the project in June.

White House press secretary Jay Carney dismissed Republicans? criticisms, arguing that the president?s decision to expedite the pipeline segment will ensure it doesn?t get bogged down in ?unnecessary bureaucratic delay.?

?I understand that the president?s critics want to make a political point, having been deprived by the facts and the visuals of this visit ? which demonstrated the president?s commitment to both increasing oil and gas production in this country and doing everything he can to open up bottlenecks in the supply chain for oil-and-gas production ? to find some other reason to criticize him,? Carney told reporters Thursday afternoon aboard Air Force One.

?The fact of the matter is, even the southern portion of this pipeline requires federal permitting. The actions the president took today will ensure that that process is ? moves as quickly as possible as a matter of ? as a national priority. So, yes, we believe it will have an impact, and certainly at the very least it ensures that there will not be any unnecessary bureaucratic delay.?

Carney said the administration will ensure that TransCanada is able to begin construction in June, as scheduled.

He added that the administration will begin reviewing the rest of the Keystone pipeline once TransCanada re-files its application for a cross-border permit.

?When a renewed pipeline proposal is put forward, it would be absolutely viewed on the merits,? Carney said. ?And the process should be allowed to work as it?s supposed to work, and it should not be hijacked for ideological or other political reasons.?

Obama rejected the cross-border permit in January, drawing the ire of Republicans. But the president said the decision was based not on the merits, but on a GOP-backed 60-day timeline included in broad legislation to extend the payroll tax cut.

Thune: Oil tax vote shows Dems are ?desperate?

Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.) said the upcoming vote on Democratic plans to nix oil industry tax breaks is a sign that they?re losing ground in the battles over gasoline prices.

?I would be surprised if they have success with that, but I know they are desperate to find something to use as a distraction to shift the blame away from where it clearly should be, and that is on policies that have not permitted and enabled additional energy production,? Thune, chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, told reporters Thursday in the Capitol.

The Senate will vote Monday on the plan, which lacks 60 votes but represents a Democratic effort to force Republicans into a politically tricky spot by casting them as industry defenders at a time of high prices and profits.

Sanders pushes Obama on Keystone pipeline

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) remains hopeful that President Obama will reject the cross-border Keystone XL pipeline to bring Canadian oil sands to Gulf Coast refineries, even though Obama is pledging to expedite the Oklahoma-to-Texas portion of the project that would carry U.S. oil (see??State of Play??above for more about that).

?For the future of the planet, we must break our dependency on fossil fuel and move to sustainable energy, and the Keystone pipeline just weds us to fossil fuels and a particularly dirty form of fossil fuel for years to come,? Sanders said Thursday in the Capitol.

?I hope the president will do what he can to defeat it.??

Sanders pointed out that temperatures smashed records by hitting 80 degrees in Vermont this week, among a number of U.S. temperature records falling of late.

?I think global warming is absolutely real,? he said.??One of the outrageous aspects that goes on in Congress now is the degree to which we choose to ignore it.?
